I’m S.L.B. (South London Boy) I started listening to music in general from a nipper from car journeys & other musical influences through growing up. I loved every style of music @ the age of 13/14. I started listening to radio stations such as sunrise and listening to house style acid and thought it was cool with the weird psychedelic noises. Later on I tuned in to a station called Pulse FM and thought it was great DJ’s on there was funny and deffo entertaining and I went to a few record shops where these DJ’s worked and wanted to get involved 3 of the DJ's that come into mind Skie, Nicky Black Market & Nick Power among others.

One day I asked DJ Skie to teach me how to mix and she showed me the basics and left me in the downstairs room of Total Music to adapt to mixin [brave lady letting a scrawny little kid mix]. I would save my dinner money from school to go buy from Blackmarket, Total Music & Music Power and meet up with other listeners from Pulse. And save my dinner money just to text in to the radio and send shouts across London which I thought was amazing been 14+.

My 1st ever rave was @ Lazerdrome called: Future that was on my 16th Birthday on N.Y.E and from then I was hooked on raving/ Clubbing and went to many night @ Roller Express, Astoria, Breakfast Club, Labyrinth, Island Ilford + Paradise Club.

I later got involved in setting up stations, and playing @ squat parties and working in record shops myself, R.O.A.R, Razor Records & Release the Groove.

I have also played on numerous pirate stations Feeling, Breeze, Rude, Rude Awakening, Kool FM & now Eruption.

I worked on an internet radio station called UKRumble & Nakedbeatz and now I DJ on Eruption weekly Fridays 18:00 - 20:00 GMT

DJ, Producer and Mammoth Muzik CEO

I was first introduced to hardcore music at school way back in 1993. I went to Orange at the Rocket club and became hooked, and started attending events like World Dance, Reincarnation, Lazerdrome and Labyrinth. I invested in a set of 1210s when I was a student in Norwich and spent all my spare time learning to mix. Eventually, I started to DJ at student parties and local club nights. When I returned to London I landed a graveyard slot on Origin FM a few years later and began to take music a bit more seriously.

Around that time I invested in an Akai sampler and started experimenting with producing. I met SLB at a local night in Croydon and moved onto internet station UKRumble and eventually onto Nakedbeatz. I also played on Eruption FM for a couple of years after UKRumble.

I have performed at many events in London such as Definition Soundclash, Sub Zero and One Nation, as well as at Nakedbeatz.

I am currently concentrating more on production having set up my own digital label Mammoth Muzik. I have also released music on Neutronic Beats and the legendary Emotif recordings.

I listened to all sorts of electronic music as a youngster but then grew a passion for Heavy Metal and Hip-Hop.  My metal roots led me to Drum & Bass as I always liked the faster, heavier stuff and started going to Warning in Cambridge in 2004. My tastes were still developing and I eventually found Renegade Hardware at The End club in London.

Loving this music and being so close to the DJs when on the dance floor inspired me to start mixing. I bought a couple of turntables and had a weekly slot on an online radio station in Essex and some free parties. I hung up my DJ coat for a few years but still listened to Drum & Bass a lot but more recently I’ve got back into mixing, buying some new decks and having my old turntables set up again with a strong desire to get back to performing live to people who share my passions.

DJ, Producer

Nakedbeatz Neville G grew up listening to the golden reggae sounds of the 70s, U-Roy, Big Youth and I-Roy amongst his favourites. His musical tastes take him through lovers rock, funk, hip hop and rare groove and lead him to the 90s warehouse party scene, to Marshgate Lane in east London and to the Orange Club in Holloway Road and onto open air raves like Perception in Stratford upon Avon.

In 1993 under the moniker Technochild, DM released a couple of tunes on Brain records, and has played on internet radio (under the name Trojan D) and on Nakedbeatz for a while. After a short break he’s back now representing the Nottingham end on Nakedbeatz.

Neville G will be playing all styles of Drum and Bass music, especially rolling liquid beatz and dub-soaked sounds which resonate with musical memories of his youth.

I have been interested in music from a very young age I definately see it as food for the soul.

I first started learning how to mix at the age of 12 after being blown away by the skills shown by DJ Hype. Seeing Hype in action set me on a path that I still tread today and will continue to tread for the rest of my days.

I developed my technical skills with Jungle/DnB and first aired them at various house parties around south east London. I got a break when doing a private party at Langtry’s in Beckenham while spinning Garage I was asked to DJ in Flat Foot Sams on a Saturday & Langtrys on a Friday night. I then got heard at Flat Foots and got a residency at Coach and Horses which also lead to spots at the Fridge, Buzz Bar, Flamingo’s, Gas Club, Blue Orchid, Joe Bananas, Poo Na Nas, even Kremlin Bar in Ibiza and Notting Hill Carnival to name a few. After 8 Years at Langtry’s the club closed but I had definitely developed a style under the tutelage of Stevie B and Mark Franklin.

I then got a new residency at Goldsmiths Tavern where I learned all music is the way forward aslong as it can be mixed and was there for a couple of years. This also lead to spots at The Red Deer and The Artesian Well.

Receiving A Phone Call From Ian Baysic changed things. I was asked to cover in the Sovereign Ramsgate and ended up securing a residency every saturday night for 8 nearly 9 years even after a name change to The Goose!!!!!!!!

While at The Goose I was approached by Clique Bar and started doing one night a week there. This lead to a new Saturday night residency called Blitz with lots of special guests lined up for the coming year!

I produce remixes and original material some of which gets blended into my sets.

I first discovered Hardcore in the early 90s through tape packs and mix tapes that were circulating at School.  By 1993/94 I could regularly be found lurking in  local record shops like Bluebird Records or Elpees and it was around this time that my 20+ year love affair with vinyl and all things breakbeat began.  As the Hardcore scene began to split I chose the darker breakbeat based DnB/Jungle sound as opposed to the more kick drum orientated Happy side.

Over time the record collection began to grow the next logical step was to get hold of a set of turntables and teach myself to mix.  The turntables in question were a battered old second hand set of belt driven Soundlabs.  If they weren’t worn out when I got them, they certainly were when I got my first proper set of decks a couple of years later and never looked back.

I have a very eclectic taste in music and will play anything with a breakbeat on it including DnB, Jungle, Old Skool, Breakz, Garage, Hip Hop and a bit of House thrown in for good measure.  Currently I am really into Future Jungle and rate producers like Liondub and Marcus Visionary, as well as Blade Runner, Cabin Fever and Jayline.   At some point in the future I’d like to get into production and have been playing about with Logic and Ableton a bit recently.
